11 Weeks Old!

Nothing to big this week.  Our sweet girl is starting to grin more from time to time.  We're getting more smiles out of her this week. My sister left back to school in the UK and won't be back until May.  We were sad to see her go.  It will be a surprise how big Taylor will be the next time she gets to hold her. Her nails are grow like weeds.  I find myself cutting them every week.  She loves to be warm and snuggled.  We went to Tucson with OZ for work this week.  She seems to like time in the sling, it usually puts her to sleep.  She did pretty great for our few dinners out while we were there.  She had some of her first facetime with her cousin Bea.  They were very cute.  It's late and I'm off to bed.   For pictures from this week click here .

Until next week,

10 Weeks Old!

10 weeks old already?!  We had Taylor's 2 month check-up and she got her first shots which made her a little sleepy, but otherwise she did just fine.
Her stats:
Height: 19.5 inches (0%)
Weight: 7 lbs 6 ozs (1%)
Head Circumference: 35 cm (1%)

She is staying steady in her 1 percentile and doing great.  It's funny because even though I know she's small, I can't believe how big she is getting,  she is SOO big!

We had lift off this week... she smiled back at me and she wasn't just farting or pooping.  :)  I was super  excited about this.  We sat her in the Bumbo for the first time and she seemed to enjoy it, for a few minutes any how.  She also took a little liking to the swing for the first time this week.  Now that she can see the mobile at the top I think she's more content to sit in it.  Taylor is much more aware this week.  Stays awake between a couple feedings during the day and is a very good sleeper at night and in the morning.  I think overall now that she can see a little further she is becoming much more aware.  She is much more content to sit in her bouncy chair and stair at the toys a little bit.

A few other first this week. Taylor took her first trip to Casey Moore's, where OZ and I met.  We went to dinner there and everyone was happy to meet her.  They kept telling us to bring her by so she could get some Guinness on her bib. lol.  She took her first stroll up Mill Avenue on the way home from Casey's so OZ and I could stop for an ice cream at Sparkey's Creamery.  And she also went to her first Barrett Jackson Car Auction.

It was a busy week with lots of visitors.  We had Venk, Nate, Michael & Chonie over for dinner.  Chonie even captured her (almost) giving the pitch fork.  My cousin lil' Pat & his family were here with their boys, which is always a nice time. The Vazquez's came by with after the PF Chang's 1/2 marathon for a yummy deer chorizo & egg breakfast courtesy of Mr. OZ the Great Chef.  Also my sister has been in town on her winter break from college for the last month.  She has been such an amazing help, and I just love having her around to hang out with.  I'm so lucky to have such a great family.

See you next week.

9 Weeks Old!

She is her father's child and I think we captured it here with her version of the pirate eye.  We are enjoying all her facial expressions.  We have her 2 month check-up tomorrow.  Stats to come next week.  I'm guessing she's put on pound or more.  She loves to use her legs as a spring board and kick off with them.  She now likes to stare at 2 things, her friend the fan & the daylight out the window. I really feel she recognizes my face & voice now too. She also loves a great steam shower. And still sleeps with her hands up by her face.  It's so stinking cute.  We saw a lot of her dance moves this week.  She's such a good sport to let us play with her.
It was another busy week.  We had several dinners with friends and we spent time this week in Tucson for OZ's birthday while he was working.  She does great in the car and in her stroller.  She loves to ride.

Next week will be her before we know it.

8 Weeks Old!

Happy New Year!!! I think she's starting to try to smile.  I'm not sure, but I'm just dying waiting for her to smile & giggle.

Besides that more of the same...

This week she stays awake during most of the day, small naps,  that I wish would last longer so mom could get more done.  But I'll take what I can get. She's sleeping great in the night and morning thou.  The week was spent filled with family. Taylor spent time with both Grandma & Grandpa this week. She was a bit of a party animal.  She met more & more family & friends. Her gaze is able to focus to little further. She is really good at planking.  She loves to be held standing up so she can stand on her feet.
Another photographer took pictures of her this week. This is one of her pictures, it really shows her dimple.  I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures.
We're still waiting for hair.  We may start taking bets on how old she'll be before she has enough to put in a ponytail.

More to come next week.
