10 Weeks Old!

10 weeks old already?!  We had Taylor's 2 month check-up and she got her first shots which made her a little sleepy, but otherwise she did just fine.
Her stats:
Height: 19.5 inches (0%)
Weight: 7 lbs 6 ozs (1%)
Head Circumference: 35 cm (1%)

She is staying steady in her 1 percentile and doing great.  It's funny because even though I know she's small, I can't believe how big she is getting,  she is SOO big!

We had lift off this week... she smiled back at me and she wasn't just farting or pooping.  :)  I was super  excited about this.  We sat her in the Bumbo for the first time and she seemed to enjoy it, for a few minutes any how.  She also took a little liking to the swing for the first time this week.  Now that she can see the mobile at the top I think she's more content to sit in it.  Taylor is much more aware this week.  Stays awake between a couple feedings during the day and is a very good sleeper at night and in the morning.  I think overall now that she can see a little further she is becoming much more aware.  She is much more content to sit in her bouncy chair and stair at the toys a little bit.

A few other first this week. Taylor took her first trip to Casey Moore's, where OZ and I met.  We went to dinner there and everyone was happy to meet her.  They kept telling us to bring her by so she could get some Guinness on her bib. lol.  She took her first stroll up Mill Avenue on the way home from Casey's so OZ and I could stop for an ice cream at Sparkey's Creamery.  And she also went to her first Barrett Jackson Car Auction.

It was a busy week with lots of visitors.  We had Venk, Nate, Michael & Chonie over for dinner.  Chonie even captured her (almost) giving the pitch fork.  My cousin lil' Pat & his family were here with their boys, which is always a nice time. The Vazquez's came by with after the PF Chang's 1/2 marathon for a yummy deer chorizo & egg breakfast courtesy of Mr. OZ the Great Chef.  Also my sister has been in town on her winter break from college for the last month.  She has been such an amazing help, and I just love having her around to hang out with.  I'm so lucky to have such a great family.

See you next week.
Meg.

  1. She really is looking big, Meg! Hard to believe 2 of our 3 kids outweighed her 10 week stats at birth! lol! Love your sling- I have the same one :) I think she is looking a little more like OZ in some of the pics... Thanks for the update!
